Old and new passions

Updated: 11 minutes ago

We are nearing the end of the year, and as I am marking my calendar balancing work days and family time, I am also looking back at all I have achieved this year. Some highlights:

  • Another beautiful Cranium just landed on the doormat, issue 41-2

  • Completed one year of Fit on Friday gym classes (don't stop now!)

  • Photographed some concerts and no less than six festivals for 3voor12 Leiden

  • Organised our own JoNiFest 2024 with my amazing husband, for 100 friends and family members, with lots of food, beer and live music (10 years marriage celebration!)

  • Started working for the Digital Library of Dutch Literature DBNL, and already read some pretty cool magazines about youth literature, including some personal favourite books and authors

  • Launched my new website, thus giving myself the opportunity and regular push to write blogs like this one, sharing my stories with you

  • Also launched my Art Heroes webshop where you can buy my photos (should upload new material!)

  • Already made eight of the twelve teacher portraits for 'De Lesboeren', with growing enthusiasm for the teachers, the locations and the results

  • And last but not least, and far from outdated, there is Dr. Antje Schreuder, whom I am researching, wrote an ode to about our shared Passion for Palaeontology, and is included in the exhibition Women of Amsterdam at the Amsterdam Museum with a patchwork tapestry handmade by students of the Huygens College in collaboration with De Zaak Muurbloem

I am really excited to continue and expand my work in 2025!
